BEGINNINGS - HHS Portfolio Class
This show is comprised of work by portfolio students, all seniors in the
Harrison High School Art program, specializing in Fine Arts and
Photography. The exhibition is at the Brookston Art
Center, 309 S. Railroad Street, Brookston, Indiana. The show is open from
10 am to 4
pm on Saturday, September 18, 2010, during the 32nd annual Brookston Apple Popcorn
Festival and will be up through October 16th. The public is invited.
This is an excellent show with many interesting and accomplished examples
by these up-and-coming artists.
Harrison's Advanced Placement art class is taught by Donna Ward. Students
are able to receive college credit by taking this class.
Brookston artist, Louie Laskowski, also taught Advanced Placement art
students at Harrison High School before her retirement in the Spring of
2009.
The Fine Arts students showing their work are Alison Alter, Michael
Hanenburg, Jessica Hughes, Cameron Kotterman, Cecy Linzey, Joe Mills,
Jackie Schmidt, Rachel Skelton, Megan Spitznagle, and Elizabeth Turner.
The Photography students whose work is on display are Brittny Calloway,
Emily Elmore, Shannon Fay, Caitlin Klopfenstein, Claire Lemar Sadof, Erin
Marty, Kimber Pogue, Patrick Stefaniak, and Katherine Wier.
Many of the artists and photographers will be at the gallery through
the day and can discuss the work in the exhibit.
This show may be seen during business hours, 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 5
pm, M-F and 9am -
